There was no 'incident' that caused this to change - it was low on battery, I figured that was why it did this at first. The first symptom was the buttons stopped responding. Same issue here, after owning the watch for two weeks now. 'Down' button is not clicking anymore and a bit more effort is required, however it still does work.
